Description

Les missions principales de l'administration du cadastre et de la topographie (ACT) peuvent être divisées en trois grands volets.

la création, la gestion, la mise à jour et la diffusion des documentations foncières et cartographiques officielles au Grand-Duché de Luxembourg.
la mensuration officielle au Grand-Duché, réglementée par la loi du 25 juillet 2002 portant création et réglementation des professions de géomètre et de géomètre officiel, est exécutée et supervisée par l'ACT.
la gestion des réseaux géodésiques nationaux.

Le détail des attributions et missions de l'ACT est repris dans la loi organique du 25 juillet 2002.

En tant que gestionnaire des documentations foncières et cartographiques de référence, l'administration du cadastre et de la topographie met à disposition les géodonnées indispensables à toute planification touchant à l'aménagement général du territoire et permet le fonctionnement du marché immobilier grâce à une gestion efficace de la propriété foncière.
