Description

The objective of the European Alternative Fuels Observatory is to be the one-stop-shop for all data and relevant information regarding alternative transport fuels in Europe. The Observatory is there to support the development of alternative transport fuels in Europe and assist the Member States with the implementation of Directive 2014/94/EU on the deployment of recharging and refuelling stations. The directive defines electricity, hydrogen, biofuels, natural gas, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as the principal alternative fuels.

The country overview of Luxembourg combines all the relevant information regarding immatriculations and market share of BEV (battery electric vehicle), PHEV (Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) and CNG (compressed natural gas) vehicles as well as publicly accessible charging points and refilling stations.
