On behalf of the Water Management Authority of the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development of Luxembourg, the flood risk due to heavy rainfall was simulated for the entire country and heavy rainfall hazard maps were extracted to inform and sensitise the population. The hazard map provides information on the potential extent, depth and velocity of runoff and flooding during a heavy rainfall event.
