ChatHome Luxembourg & Grande Region Housing Market Aggregates

Description

Openly licensed, machine-readable housing-market aggregates for every Luxembourg commune, computed from active residential listings and published beside the Observatoire de l'Habitat reference values as labelled reference columns.

Release 2026.10 (CC BY 4.0), in CSV and Parquet:

  • an asking-price snapshot for every one of the 100 communes (sale and rent, apartments and houses: sample size, median, 25th and 75th percentile per m²)
  • monthly asking-price history per commune (from 2026-07; months with no snapshot are absent, not interpolated)
  • asking prices for the 24 Luxembourg City quarters
  • a commune registry with the official 4-digit commune codes
  • asking prices and class mix by energy class (CPE, DPE, PEB, Energieausweis) for Luxembourg and the neighbouring border areas, each country on its own scale

Medians and quartiles are published only for cells with at least 5 listings; an empty cell is never a zero. Asking prices are not transaction prices.

Correction (2026-10-19): release 2026.08 (10.5281/zenodo.22047700) included a table, commune_rent_price_quarterly, presented as Observatoire de l'Habitat advertised rents. It came from ChatHome's own retired data and is withdrawn. That release also published quartiles for some cells with 2 to 4 observations and said the data was regenerated monthly; both are corrected. Releases are now produced by hand, and each one states its date.

A companion dataset of travel times from Luxembourg and cross-border communes to Luxembourg job hubs is published separately under ODbL 1.0.
